Meet Varelie Croes
Varelie is the CEO of The Liv Group, a New York headquartered firm that provides strategic consulting and partnerships for early-stage startups. She is also the Founder of Wanderstart – an innovative platform that offers visionary entrepreneurs and their startups the intellectual and financial resources to make their dreams a reality.
A world traveler and adventurer at heart, Varelie is on a mission to rewrite the rules of Venture Capital funding. She believes an entrepreneurial renaissance is underway; one where you create your own rules and business integrates with and supports your lifestyle. As a Private Equity and Venture Capital expert with over a decade of experience in Financial Services, Varelie has spearheaded billion dollar global deals and worked with several of the world’s largest investment funds and Fortune 500 companies.
Prior to founding The Liv Group, Varelie was a Director of International Tax Financial Services at PricewaterhouseCoopers New York. She started her career in The Netherlands and Aruba as a tax lawyer and also specializes in Dutch-Caribbean markets. She received her Master in Law from Leiden University, The Netherlands.
Varelie speaks and writes on topics including startup fundraising, angel investing and crowdfunding. She is the author of The Unconventional Fundraising Guide.
Meet Gavril R. Mansur
Attained an undergraduate degree in Business Management and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA). Enjoys over twenty years of commercial banking experience at high levels, with specialization in Commercial Credit. Additional skills and expertise gained through entrepreneurship and consultancy business. Has been nominated and/or appointed to professional board positions and representation in many professional organizations such as the Bonaire Bankers’ Association and the “Fondo Nacional Di Garantia Pa Vivienda”.
Successfully completed multiple international training courses and seminars on diverse topics such as Public Speaking & Motivation, Real Estate & Hospitality Lending, Commercial Credit Appraisal Techniques, Financing Growth, Anti Money Laundering, Financial Analysis and many more.
Deeply involved in the local and regional community, currently elected as Lieutenant Governor of Kiwanis International, District of Eastern Canada & the Caribbean, Division 26. Member of the Board of Directors of the YMCA, member of the Masonic Lodge “El Sol Sol Naciente 113” and member of the Board of Directors of the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls, Aruba Chapter. Fluent in English, Dutch and Papiamento, conversant in Spanish and basic knowledge of French. Certified Kiwanis International Trainer.
